After leading the University of Cincinnati Bearcats to five straight improving season, Mick Cronin has agreed to a 6 years contract extension valid though the 2016/17 season. After boasting a 26-9, and a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in many years, it wasn’t a surprise that UC wanted to lock up Cronin.
I’m a Bearcat and have always been a Bearcat,” Cronin said via text message. “I love Cincinnati and rebuilding our program for our university and fans has been the most rewarding experience of my professional career. My intent is to retire here.”
With a fantastic six man recruiting class coming in along with 3 returning starters, Mick looks to improve on the round of 32 finish from the previous year. If the course remains, we will soon see Big East Titles and many NCAA Berths to come.
