Ignorance Is Bliss… Apparently.

The more preseason rankings that pour out of the mouth of Rivals writer David Fox, the more I realize how little he must know about college football.  What does three straight losses in the “Keg of Nails” Rivalry Game, and a dismal last four seasons rank you to Mr. Fox?  #61?!?!  Wait a second, 15 spots higher than the Bearcats.  I literally had to look twice to make sure I wasn’t reading a past ranking!  There is no argument that you can give me that will lead me to believe that the Louisville Cardinals deserve to be ranked higher than the Bearcats.

Here is a little piece from the Louisville Cardinals 2011 season preview;  Mr. Fox writes, “Strong needed only one season to lift Louisville out of the malaise of the Steve Kragthorpe era. All signs point to Louisville eventually returning to the top of the Big East.”

Seriously?  Which signs were you looking at?  Bartender… I’ll have what he’s having.

One season at 7-7, with one win being against an FCS school (Eastern Kentucky) and another against Arkansas State, who finished their own dismal season at 4-8, doesn’t deserve any talk of being a Big East elitist does it?

I’m going to send Mr. Fox an email this week and hopefully get some answers for the absolute disrespect he is showing the University of Cincinnati and our Bearcats football team!  I’ll keep you posted.
