A pair of University of Cincinnati Bearcats, pitcher Zach Isler (Union, Ky./Covington Catholic) and outfielder Jake Proctor (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills), took the field in the 2011 Great Lakes Collegiate Summer League All-Star Game, on July 13th at Great American Ball Park.

Both Bearcats are playing this summer for the Cincinnati Steam in the GLCSL.

Proctor is second on the Steam with a .348 average and has added 13 RBIs while hitting out of the third spot in the batting order and playing centerfield.

Isler, who is serving as the team’s closer, has also been one of the Steam’s more consistent arms. He is 2-0 with a 0.90 ERA in eight appearances. In 10 innings, he’s allowed only one earned run, while allowing no walks.

Both Bearcats played for the South, which won the game 7 to 1.  Proctor started the game in centerfield and Isler came on in the 9th inning to close out the game for the South All-Star Team.
