Found this the other day. This dog had no idea what hit him!
Great story about Steve Hancock, a senior defensive lineman who will be playing in his last Battle for the Victory Bell this Saturday. For him and the rest of the Cincinnati seniors they have never relinquished the trophy to the Redhawks. I don’t see them giving it up after this game or for many more games in the future either.
Clever title but beyond that Isaiah Pead needs to go on a tear this Saturday. The Bearcats have been getting wins not only because of the passing game but also because Pead has been killing it on the ground. This balanced attack is what makes UC’s offense so explosive. Ideally, Pead has 100+ yds and 2 TDs by the end of the first half. That’ll assure a Bearcats victory.
Other UC Stuff
Coach doesn’t think ‘Hawks in the tank’ – Neither do I, long season ahead.

Huggins: Basketball has no ‘juice’ – Conference realignment is football-driven. Duh.

Big 12 AD’s meeting in Dallas; Mizzou a wild card
While the presidents have all the say in conference realignment, the fact that the Big XII AD’s got together and chatted about the topic is a big deal. Officially Missouri has yet to place both feet in the Big XII or the SEC, despite extending interest towards both conferences. For Cincinnati’s sake, Mizzou better head over to the SEC to open up more spots for UC in the Big XII.
I don’t really care about RPI but the fact that Notre Dame moved to Hockey East really blows. The newly formed National Collegiate Hockey Conference of which Miami (OH) is a member is all the weaker because the Irish decided not to join. All it did was give me another reason to hate Notre Dame.
