Film Study: The Return of the Vertical Passing Game
Cincinnati went deep more than a few times Saturday against South Florida. I’m in favor of both a horizontal and vertical passing game (save the bubble screens) and OC Mike Bajakian dialed up the right play calls at the right times last week that sent the receivers more vertically than we’ve seen all year. Given Alex Chisum has emerged as a serious deep threat, look for more packages designed to throw deep.
Getting To Know New UC AD Whit Babcock
His ideas, charisma, and even the way he speaks are just so much better than Mike Thomas. I can’t wait to see what he does at Cincinnati.
Recruiting
Texas is still tops – Cincinnati’s recruiting class is 32nd so far according to 247 Sports. Very fair ranking.
