UC Rises in Coaches Poll and BCS Rankings, AP Voters Hate the Bearcats

With the win over the Pitt Panthers yesterday, the coaches were impressed enough to move Cincinnati up four slots to 18th in the poll with 286 points. The Associated Press wasn’t the least bit happy with Cincinnati’s close win over the Panthers as they kept the team at 23rd. Finally, to the BCS rankings, the Bearcats had been on the cusp of the Top-25 the past two weeks and finally cracked it at 23. The brightest part of this is that the Bearcats are the only Big East team in any of the three rankings. Back to the BCS ranking, this is the first time UC has made an appearance here since 2009. This only creates more credibility for this burgeoning program and what Coach Jones and his staff are doing in Clifton. National eyes are taking notice of this and let’s hope Bearcats fans do the same by selling out Paul Brown Stadium against West Virginia next weekend.
