Things I’m thankful for…
– The Spread Offense, because it makes Bearcats football so much more fun to watch.
– The Orange and Sugar Bowls and the Top-10 Rankings, because they put the University of Cincinnati on the map!
– Beer at Nippert Stadium and The Shoe, because Hooray Beer!
– The 2010, 2011, and 2012 Recruiting Classes, because Coach Jones recruits like the Big Boys. Take note, Brian Kelly.
– That Wes Richardson is a Senior.
– That Drew Frey is a Junior – Just one more year! Thank you, Jeebus!
– The University of Illinois, because they were stupid enough to take Mike Thomas away from Cincinnati.
– Mick Cronin’s Diligence and Thick Skin, because his rebuilding job took time, hard work, and drew a TON of criticism but he persevered and brought UC basketball back.
– Mardy Gilyard, J.K. Schaffer, and Derek Wolfe, nuff said.
– Larry Sheakley, because he was instrumental in building the football team’s practice fields.
– Carl Lindner, because he’s a great man. RIP, sir.
– UC Students, because they are among the most loyal fans Bearcats football and basketball has.
– The Class of 2010 Bearcats Basketball Seniors, because of their commitment to the rebuilding process that brought UC basketball its first NCAA Tourny birth and win of the Mick Cronin era.
