Cincinnati Loses BCS Bid But Can Still Ruin Louisville’s Opportunity

I knew going into the West Virgina-South Florida game it would be a lot to ask for the Bulls to actually win this late in the season. USF has late season collapses down to a science. And they lost last night in a way that makes you think they had been practicing that all season. All I could do was laugh when B.J. Daniels fumbled deep in West Virginia’s territory. It was almost bound to happen! So at this point, the Mountaineers join the Louisville Cardinals as Big East co-champs and all of a sudden are officially biggest Bearcats fans for the next two days. A Cincinnati win against UConn would send West Virginia to the Orange Bowl and a loss would cause Louisville fans to punch their ticket to Miami. I’m clearly pulling for the Bearcats tomorrow because I really don’t want to get stuck in Birmingham again. But as far as the Big East representative goes, I’d much rather have the Mountaineers facing the ACC champ than a 7 – 5 Louisville team. Plus, I hate the Cardinals so much more than the Mountaineers. All I think it about with them is the score ’70 – 7′ and how Rick Petino is a dick. I could care less that this would mean a soon-to-be Big 12 team would be representing the Big East this year.

Go Bearcats. Go Mountaineers.
