Isler Relishing Chance To Fill Closer Role
The Bearcats’ Achilles Heel this season has been the performance of the bullpen. Hitting would never be a problem and the rotation had some experience behind it. But placing Isler in the closer role was a smart move by Coach Cleary in an attempt to protect leads. Most importantly Isler will be able to work with the younger pitchers and help bring them along. This will pay dividends later in the season and in coming years.
