Meme This: Xavier Musketeers Transfer Matt Stainbrook

Few times in the history of sports do opportunities present themselves. One of those instances occurred in 2006 when Mark Dantonio left for Michigan State and Brian Kelly was hired to be UC’s new football coach. The succeeding years for Bearcat football were magical. Something similar happened on Monday when the perfect symbiosis of ‘breaking news’ at ‘hated university’ becomes mocked by ‘fans of rival university’. If you haven’t heard, Xavier received a transfer from Western Michigan forward Matt Stainbrook who will do his very best to replace lumbering oaf Kenny Frease next season. The 6’9″ 290 lbs behemoth will sit out the 2012-13 campaign in alignment with NCAA rules but Stainbrook will be good to go in the 2013-14 season. That shouldn’t force us to wait until then to begin ridiculing him. Let’s do it now! I mean it should be easy considering, well, this and the fact that he will be playing for the much maligned Xavier Musketeers. Honestly, I don’t normally troll XU outside of basketball season but this is just too perfect.
