Rodney Adams Chooses Toledo Over Cincinnati

After getting a big win this morning in tight end Travis Johnson from Tampa Bay, Florida, the momentum for the Bearcats on National Signing Day was stymied a bit by the news that 3-star/4-star wide receiver Rodney Adams picked the Toledo Rockets. The prolific pass catcher out of St. Petersburg, Florida was another NSD decision and was down to UC and Toledo as his final two. Adams was highly recruited out of high school boasting offers from Florida, Florida State, and Oklahoma among others. Ultimately he chose Toledo and was an excellent pickup for the Rockets.

While Adams would have been a nice signee for the Bearcats, Cincinnati was absolutely burst at the seams with wide receivers in 2013 with everyone except for Kenbrell Thompkins and Danny Milligan returning at that position. Therefore, he would have probably been more of a contributor to the depth at the position for UC whereas he’ll probably have a very good chance of making an instant impact at Toledo. Best of luck to him!
