The Tampa Tribune Still Can’t Get It Right

Since joining the Big East, the Cincinnati Bearcats have traveled to Tampa Bay, Florida to face the USF Bulls four times. Also since joining the Big East, UC has revamped their brand by changing the design the C-Paw logo from the one with rounded edges to the sleek, menacing one we know and love today. But each time the Bearcats have made the trip to Tampa Bay, the local paper the Tampa Tribune has used the old C-Paw in each of their primers for the Cincy-USF game.

I’m not sure if this is just a recurring mistake by a lazy editor or one of the most well-coordinated trolling efforts known to college sports, but what the heck, Trib? It’s not like the Enquirer continuously calls the “South Florida Bulls” the “West Florida Bulls” because, you know, the school isn’t even located in the southern part of the state. And trust me, if any paper were to make that mistake or troll a school on purpose, it’s the Enquirer.

So thanks for the bulletin board material, Tampa Tribune!
