Cincinnati-SMU Kickoff Set For Noon As AAC Game Of The Week

The kickoff time for the Cincinnati’s matchup with the SMU Mustangs is set for.. sigh.. noon on November 9th at Nippert Stadium.
Cincinnati vs. SMU on November 9th at Nippert Stadium has been selected as the American Game of the Week & will kickoff at Noon.

Outside of Northwestern State, every single UC game on Saturdays this season have been at noon, which is really a downer. I fully believe Cincinnati will draw north of 30,000 for this game but the atmosphere at Nippert Stadium during the day as opposed to at night is, quite literally, night and day. Maybe it’s the extra time to tailgate, maybe it’s the fact fans are simply more awake for a 7 pm kickoff vs. noon, but the environment at Nippert is just more electrifying later in the day. Oh well, I guess it’s just sour grapes at this point.
Additionally, for those of you who may have trouble watching certain UC games because they’re isolated to ESPN3, you’ll be happy to learn that Cincinnati-SMU will be the AAC Game of the Week. As such one of your local stations (ABC, CBS, etc.) will probably air it. Huzzah!
