Cincinnati Game At Houston Set For Noon Kickoff

Ugh.. because that’s all Cincinnati is worth to ESPN it seems; a team for noon fill-in games.

Look, I get it, the AAC much less the Bearcats have basically no control over when they play and on what network their game will air. But you’d think ESPN would have pitted two teams near the top of the conference in the afternoon or the evening. A 3:30 or 7 pm kickoff should have been the fate for Cincinnati-Houston who are both very much in the thick of the AAC title race. By contrast, the monumental clash between football powers UConn and Temple (a combined 1 win between the both of them) will be aired at 7 pm.

The only silver lining is that there’s a possibility the Worldwide Leader will air the game on ESPN2, ESPNU, or ESPNews. Either of those channels are far more appealing options than an ESPN3 broadcast. Regardless, I’m not sure what the Bearcats did to ESPN to warrant noon kickoffs for damn near every single Saturday game this season.
