For the second time in three years, the Cincinnati Bearcats obliterated the Chicago State Cougars on the friendly court at Fifth Third Arena. Here’s some numbers that reflect UC’s dominance last night:

  • 40: The margin by which Cincinnati won by.
  • 102: The amount of points the Bearcats scored last night. It was the first time this season UC hit triple-digits on the scoreboard.
  • 7: The number of UC players who scored double-digit points.
  • 69: The amount of rebounds Cincinnati grabbed last night. That’s a school record. The Bearcats also out-rebounded Chicago State by 48 boards.
  • 3: The number of Bearcats with double-doubles. Kilpatrick, Jackson, and Sanders all accomplished that feat.

Additionally, below are a few postgame recaps for your pleasure.

Cincinnati opens fast, beats Chicago State 102-62

"And that wasn’t all the Bearcats took away from their most dominant performance of the season. For 40 minutes, Cincinnati saw the kind of team it could be when its offense catches up with everything else."

Recap: Bearcats 102, Chicago State 62

"Not only did 7 players scores in doubles, but three Bearcats had double-doubles.  When you grab 69 rebounds and score 102 points, there are going to be some records set.  And that’s exactly what happened last night.  The +48 rebound margin set a school record and even more astoundingly Chicago State did not grab ONE individual offensive rebound in the entire 40 minutes.  Defensive rebounding has been a problem thus far for this team, but at least for one night they cleaned, spit-shined, polished, whatever other synonym you’d like to use for cleaning – the glass."

Jackson, Kilpatrick and Sanders Lead 102-62 Demolition of Chicago State

"Cincinnati finished with a 92.3% defensive rebound percentage and a 64.7% offensive rebound percent. The Cats had a +48 rebound margin, which is a school record. Complete an utter domination."
