Whoops! With Christmas this week I completely overlooked the Bearcats in the NFL update. And it’s almost criminal that I did because Trent Cole had a monstrous game. Derek Wolfe and Kevin Huber remained sidelined with Isaiah Pead still struggling to even see the field.

Ricardo Mathews: The Colts put on a defensive clinic against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Mathews contributed with a pair of tackles and a half-sack for Indianapolis.

John Hughes: The Cleveland defensive tackle had four tackles against the New York Jets on Sunday including a pass defensed in a losing effort.

Brent Celek: The Philadelphia Eagles just pasted the Chicago Bears on Sunday night and Celek was a huge part of it. He paced Philly with 58 receiving yards on three catches including a touchdown. But the tight end did fumble the football once that evening.

Trent Cole: Like I mentioned, he had a huge game. Cole had just three tackles against the Bears but all three were sacks of Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler. That marks the second most sacks Cole has had in a game in his long Philadelphia Eagle career.

Connor Barwin: On the opposite side of the line, Barwin notched a tackle for the Eagles.
