Dec 29, 2013; Arlington, TX, USA; Philadelphia Eagles tight end Brent Celek (87) catches a pass while defended by Dallas Cowboys middle linebacker DeVonte Holloman (57) in the third quarter at AT

The final regular season game of the season meaning several Bearcats were in the playoff chase for either seeding or to even make the postseason. Unfortunately the Bengals’ Kevin Huber and Broncos’ Derek Wolfe were still sidelined.

Ricardo Mathews: Indy just stopped the Jaguars in their final tune-up before the playoffs. Mathews contributed with a tackle for the Colts.

Isaiah Pead: Was given kickoff return duties yesterday against the Seahawks and performed pretty well. Pead returned two kicks for an average of 27 yards per and a long of 31.

Brent Celek: The Philadephia tight end had another strong game. Those former Bearcats who play for the Eagles tend to do that. Celek paced Philadelphia with 71 receiving yards on three catches, including one for a touchdown. The Eagles needed that last night as they had a much tighter game with their NFC East rival Cowboys than the blowout against Chicago two weeks ago.

Trent Cole: The Eagle defensive end came back down to Earth last week after his three sack performance against the Bears. Cole came close to a couple of sacks yesterday but was just a half-second too late on some of them. He did finish with two tackles and a hit on Dallas fill-in QB Kyle Orton, though.

Connor Barwin: He, like Cole, had a fairly quiet game. Barwin finished with a pair of tackles and a pass defensed against the Cowboys last night.
