It’s Cincinnati and Rutgers in basketball tonight. Here is Cincy on the Prowl’s preview of the game but feel free to peruse some of these other primers on this Saturday morning.
"I’m not brave enough to pick the upset, but my this game doesn’t sit well in my stomach. Rutgers has had the week off to adjust to Cincinnati’s press, and the Bearcats haven’t handled success well in the past. I don’t think the Scarlet Knights have the horses to pull this off, though: Bearcats win 66-62."
"Guard Miles Mack ranks sixth in the American in scoring with 16.3 points per game. Rutgers averages 77.1 points per game but has allowed 75.3. The Scarlet Knights are an excellent free throw shooting team at 70.2 percent. They won their conference opener against Temple before losing to Louisville."
UC Welcomes Rutgers on Saturday at 6 p.m. ET
"Cincinnati won eight of the 11 meetings with Rutgers while the two schools were members of the former BIG EAST Conference. The Bearcats won both meetings last season: a 68-58 victory at Rutgers (Jan. 12) and a 62-54 decision at Cincinnati (Jan. 30). The Bearcats hold a 14-4 advantage overall in the series."
