The Bearcats are moving up in the world! After consecutive wins over Temple and South Florida, along with several teams ahead of them in the polls losing last week, Cincinnati is now slotted at #15 in the AP Poll with 736 votes. UC moved up four spots in the latest rankings.

Cincinnati is 17-2 and undefeated in the AAC this season. They’ve gotten it done behind a suffocating defense and improved free throw shooting. Given that trend, I’d be curious to see where the Coaches Poll tabs UC. Last week the Bearcats climbed from the depths of the unranked 10 spots to #23. Will they make a similar leap? I’m not sure but I’d expect the coaches will move Cincinnati closer to their AP Poll ranking.

Looking ahead, the Bearcats’ are in a good position for an exciting clash with fellow top-15 team Louisville in a week and a half. UC’s upcoming slate of Central Florida and Temple isn’t terrifying in the slightest but let’s hope the Bearcats aren’t looking ahead to the Cardinals this week.
