With the wins over Central Florida and Temple this past week, the Cincinnati Bearcats continue to move up in the polls. This week they have jumped two spots to 13th in the latest AP Poll, garnering 793 votes. This despite some guy named Randy Rosetta dropping Cincinnati down to 22nd over the past week. There must be a mercury leak in the New Orleans water system. Anyways, the Bearcats also moved up a spot in the Coaches Poll. After being ranked 16th last week, UC jumped to 15th in the latest poll with 323 votes.

So now we’re looking at a top-15 matchup between Cincinnati and Louisville. The Cardinals are a spot ahead of the Bearcats in the AP Poll at 12th. A game that months ago was tabbed as a huge one for UC just got even more critical. Cincinnati leads the conference at 8-0 but Louisville is right on their heels at 6-1. While this is the front end of two games between these rivals, taking the first one would only help UC’s chances down the stretch to secure an AAC title.
