The man behind the mic Tom Gelehrter is back at the Nippert Stadium construction site with project manager Bob Marton to provide us a status update on the renovation. You can watch the full report below.
Stray Observations
- How those cranes haven’t severely damaged the TUC merely feet away from the renovation site I’ll never know.
- Bob Marton knows more than I could ever learn about architecture, as illustrated by what I perceive as “fancy” construction words. But I think the bottom line is that infrastructure is really coming into place. And the work they’ve done so far is incredible. You can really understand the sheer scale of the project when the camera peers down into the canyon-sized lanes they’ve renovated to accommodate the immense structure that is set to rise from the dust.
- A handheld jackhammer is the next and last object I’ll ever own.
- Sounds like the next step is beginning to build the restrooms and concession stands on the West side of the venue.
- I don’t know when Tommy G grew out his beard but the facial hair is a good look for him. Please don’t tell him I said that. It’d probably make any future interactions really awkward.
