UC Bearcats Football: Nippert Stadium Renovation Update – May 14, 2014

Tom Gelehrter and project manager Bob Marton are back with an update on the Nippert Stadium renovation. Take a look.

Stray Observations

• Bearcats TV’s graphics are pristine. I know this has nothing to do with the project but I just thought I should point that out.
• Workers are breaking ground on the areas for the new restrooms and concession stands on the northwest side of the stadium. They will be moving in a south and east pattern down along the visitors sidelines as they continue to put the finishing touches on the foundation of the structure.
• When I win the lottery I’m buying one of those concrete trucks with the hundreds of feet of pipe to pump chocolate milkshake into my mouth at my beck and call.
• There’s a giant sign with “Hole” written on it to presumably indicate the adjacent enormous pit where more infrastructure work is being done. Be wary, drunken frat guys wandering around campus at 3 am.
• The steel beams to build the structure of the actual press box will be arriving in a few weeks, at which point we will finally see it begin to rise out of the ground. Exciting times!
