Update: Sean Kilpatrick Signs With Philadelphia 76ers, Will Play In Summer League

Cincinnati Bearcats guard Sean Kilpatrick wasn’t selected in the 2014 NBA Draft but he did sign with the Philadelphia 76ers to play in the Las Vegas Summer League. The Enquirer’s Shannon Russell (and not UC’s men’s basketball beat writer Bill Koch, shocker) is reporting the news.

Despite going undrafted, Kilpatrick has a good a shot as any making Philadelphia’s regular NBA roster. His experience and maturity sets him apart from the other new players the 76ers have brought into the organization. Kilpatrick understands what it takes to elevate his game and adjust to a higher level of basketball as well as the preparation it takes to improve himself. He’s gotten better and better in each subsequent year at Cincinnati.

So I wish Sean Kilpatrick the best of luck with the 76ers. Hopefully he’s given enough of an opportunity to showcase his unique scoring abilities and get a promotion to the NBA roster. Cincy on the Prowl will be keeping an eye on Kilpatrick’s progress in the Vegas Summer League.
