Sean Kilpatrick, Justin Jackson July 14th Update From NBA Summer League

Former Cincinnati Bearcats Sean Kilpatrick and Justin Jackson were in action again on Monday in the 2014 NBA Summer League.

The UC forward Justin Jackson didn’t play for a second straight game. The Hornets opted to keep him on the bench in their Monday afternoon loss to the New York Knicks. Conversely, former Cincinnati guard Sean Kilpatrick logged 13 minutes of court time with the Philadelphia 76ers, coming in after halftime. He went 2-5 from the field including 50% from three point land and contributing 5 points to his team’s cause. That’s a far cry from his 20 point performance on Saturday night but, as Jacob Saylor mentions, Kilpatrick could have made such an impression in his first game of the Summer League that the coaches opted to hold him back in order to get better looks at other players. So this could bode well for former Bearcats’ star.

While Justin Jackson’s final regular season game was tonight, Sean Kilpatrick’s is tomorrow night at 8 pm EST against the Phoenix Suns.
