Top 5 Returning Players On The Cincinnati Bearcats Defense

A couple of weeks ago we rolled out our list of the top 5 returning players on Cincinnati’s offense. OT Eric Lefeld, heading into his third season anchoring the Bearcats’ offensive line, was our most important player back for this team in 2014 on that side of the ball.
But who will be that same player on defense? Cincinnati is blessed with a wealth of experience returning at key positions next year. Despite losses along the defensive line, most of the secondary, linebacker corps, and edge of the DL is back. So you could really make an argument for quite a few guys to be the “Eric Lefeld” on this side of the ball and while having so many options doesn’t exactly make the task of narrowing it down to just five all that easy, I think we did a pretty decent job.
