Sights & Sounds: Cincinnati Bearcats Training Camp Day 1

The Cincinnati Bearcats hit the practice field for the first time in months today at Camp Higher Ground in West Harrison, Indiana. The players aren’t yet in full pads or even shells but running through drills to knock off some of the summer rust. It’s early and there isn’t much to learn about the team quite yet but videos the UC Audio/Visual department produces like the one below get me uncontrollably excited for football season to start. We’re just about a month away from kickoff.

Also a full practice report is available, which you can read in its entirety here. Below are the major call outs:

  • In desperate need of warm bodies at the position, defensive end Korey Cunningham has been moved to offensive line.
  • Wide receiver Jeremy Graves has been moved to safety. There’s quite the logjam at the offensive skill positions for UC and as a junior Graves might have a chance for earlier playing time on the defensive side.
  • Tuberville notes Munchie Legaux as 80% healthy.
  • Kickers Tony Miliano and Andrew Gantz nailed their six allotted field goals. It looks like this might be one of the hottest battles of training camp.
