ESPN’s Sportscenter app, or more accurately the intern who runs this app, has noted that Cincinnati’s home opener against the Toledo Rockets has been moved up a week to tonight. Somebody better tell the team that they need to get down to Paul Brown Stadium right quick!

This isn’t the first time ESPN has made a gaff with regards to the Bearcats. If you recall, a couple of years ago prior to a Cincinnati game against Syracuse in the (/tear) Big East, ESPN’s Stats & Info Twitter account noted that the Orange had won 6 of the last 7 over UC. It was quite the opposite and a correction was never made. Also, that whole “overlooked during the conference realignment carousel” thing was a bit of a thorn in my side.
But today’s mistake is rather hilarious even without the confusing “all 3 top QBs” statement.
So if you found this notification when you unlocked your phone today like Brian did, don’t scramble to gather up the kids and rush downtown. We’re unfortunately still a week away from the Bearcats finally hitting the field against the Rockets.
