Mekale McKay Has A Big Night Against The Rockets

For those that don’t know Friday night was Gunner Kiel‘s first collegiate game. Kiel threw for 418 yards and 6  touchdowns in his first game and clearly was the star of the show, but the main benefactor of Kiel’s great night was Junior receiver Mekale McKay.

The 6’6″ Junior finished the night with 9 receptions for 175 yards and one touchdown. McKay came out the gate on fire finishing the 1st quarter with 4 receptions for 121 yards and his only touchdown. His longest reception was for 52 yards and of course it came in the 1st quarter. The Toledo Rockets defense had no answer for the physical mismatch that McKay provided.

Overall for the Bearcats this is very positive, because they have a lot of good receivers and if McKay provides a mismatch against every team every Thursday, Friday or Saturday the other receivers will have big nights once defenses try to adjust.

The Bearcats beat the Rockets 58-34 to win their first game of the season and in huge part to big night McKay had. Good game sir keep ballin’.
