Cincinnati Bearcats Fall To 38th In Coaches, 39th In AP Poll

Here’s why the Coaches and AP Polls are going the way of the dodo. In the two weeks prior to Friday night’s 58-34 win over the Toledo Rockets, the Cincinnati Bearcats rose from 40th in both polls all the way to 37th. It wasn’t much but definitely a welcomed surprise knowing that UC inched their way up the polls despite not playing a single snap.

But now it’s confirm that the Coaches and AP Polls are unparalleled in their absurdity.

The Bearcats rose three spots during their bye weeks but after finally playing a game, and performing impressively I might add, Cincinnati fell in both polls. UC now sits at 38th in the latest Coaches Poll with 15 votes and 39th in the AP Poll with 10 votes. The Bearcats actually have more votes this week than they did last week (6).

Like I said, absurd.

Let’s see how Cincinnati’s opponents, the rest of the G5, and the AAC fared in this week’s update.
