Bearcats Fall To 39th In Latest Coaches Poll, Unranked In AP Poll

Not unexpectedly, the Cincinnati Bearcats have plummeted in the Coaches and AP Polls after losing to the Ohio State Buckeyes last night 50-28.

UC clung to votes in the Coaches Poll, receiving a single vote and tying with Texas and West Virginia for 39th. The Bearcats weren’t so lucky in the AP Poll, which they fell out of all together. UC has been ranked as high as 36th in both polls this season.

As we look ahead, Cincinnati fans need to keep an eye on the East Carolina Pirates who continue to creep up the polls. Losing to Ohio State was a setback for the Bearcats but in terms of win a spot in the Group of 5 Access Bowl, they need to regroup this week against Memphis to keep pace with ECU. There’s still plenty of time and UC does host East Carolina this season but with the way the Pirates are playing, the Bearcats can’t really afford anymore missteps this year.

Let’s wrap up the rest of Cincinnati’s opponents this season, the Group of 5 (with BYU), and the AAC.
