Munchie Legaux Time In South Beach?

What did go right for the Bearcats against the Memphis Tigers? Honestly nothing, countless dropped passes, missed protections, missed gap assignments, blown coverages, missed tackles, bad defense play calls (I guess that has to be it, hell it’s the entire defensive scheme) and I guess I could go on, but we don’t have the time to listen to me repeat myself for x amount of words.

On an even greater note, our golden armed quarterback Gunner Kiel was injured on the last play before halftime while trying a hailmary heave as the seconds expired. So, with that, a hope for a much needed comeback went down the drain. The Bearcats lost 41-14 and with how bad the defense is a once high hope season looks to have a huge dark cloud that defensive coordinator Hank Hughes clearly doesn’t have the answer for Sway (YouTube Kanye on the Sway’s radio show if you don’t know).

Kiel has bruised ribs and is questionable for the game against the Miami Hurricanes. If Kiel can’t go, fifth year senior quarterback Munchie Legaux will start in his place, at least I think so. Legaux is a feel good story for the Bearcats because of his catastrophic injury last year, but we all know if Kiel doesn’t play it’s going to be hard to even fathom the Bearcats knocking off the Hurricanes on the road. Legaux is a better runner, but that will play into the hands of the Hurricanes. Unless Legaux can help the offense keep up with the defense or the lack there of, hope is dim this weekend.

Don’t shoot me I’m just the messenger and I’m not the defensive coordinator. Hopefully Munchie taking his talents to South Beach will be good for the Bearcats this weekend. If not, I’m just being realistic with the worst and praying for the best.
