Last week was bitter sweet for the Bearcats they won a defensive charged game against Temple 14-6, I totally guessed that score wrong, but Memphis won their last game of the season to lock them in at the very least as co-champion of the AAC. UCF won last week also so this weekend could lead to three teams being tri-champions of the AAC, I don’t know if tri-champion is a legit word, but I’m rolling with it Cincy on The Prowl readers don’t judge me. UCF and UC took care of business last week and that’s the important thing even though Bearcat fans wish UCF didn’t fare as well.
Let’s check out the games in the AAC this week.
Thursday 12/4
UCF @ East Carolina, ESPN, 7:30 PM
Saturday 12/6
Houston @ Cincinnati, ESPN, Noon
SMU @ Connecticut, CBS Sports Network, Noon
Temple @ Tulane, ESPN 2, 7:30 PM
Honestly let’s cut to the chase only two games matter this weekend. With no championship game in the AAC this year Houston/UC and UCF/East Carolina are championship games for UC and UCF, UC will have the luxury to know on Saturday if they win who they will be sharing with and UCF will have the luxury of knowing they at least share a piece of the conference tonight. Houston is a solid team, but UC being at home should push them over the edge. UCF is on the road against early season ECU and isn’t it crazy that ECU could help UC out with a win. No matter the outcome there is still a lot to be decided this weekend in the AAC. ESPN is the station to watch Thursday and Saturday.
This is our last “This Week in the AAC” maybe we will do a bowl edition, but if not until next year, PEACE!
