Bearcats Streak Now At 3

After the Bearcats lost two in a row on the road #BearcatNation was rightfully kind of worried. Losing to UConn wasn’t disheartening because of the way they played on the road, but the way they let the Memphis Tigers manhandle them was cause for concern because if you know one thing about the Bearcats is they are often the ones doing the manhandling win or lose.

During the last 3 games they have had two at home and one on the road (Temple, Houston and UCF) all have been different stories, but they all have had the same result. Which is a good thing for the Bearcats because the AAC isn’t a very strong conference so they must take care of home court and win the winnable games on the road, I know that’s easier said than done, but it must be done. Why must it be done because the Bearcats want to make it to the NCAA tournament for the fifth time in a row. Which would be a great feat for a team that is so young, coming into the year nobody knew which way the Bearcats would trend so many questions and not enough answers. As the season has progressed there have been more answers than questions. Just when you try to count them out they bounce back with a gritty performance to restore order and hope.

It is still a little over a month left in the season and the Bearcats must keep trending upwards because the strength of the conference won’t be there to help with any major slip ups. The Bearcats also hold a couple of spades with nice non-conference wins (SDSU, NC State).

Thursday they will face defending NCAA champs UConn at home, a win here would push the streak to 4 and also avenge the loss on the road a few weeks ago. A win here will keep UC amongst the top in the AAC and we all like the sound of that right?
