This week in the all-of-a-sudden return to a regular podcast, Scott (@cardscott5) who writes for Bearcats Blog (@BearcatsBlog) and I talked hoops. Lot’s and lot’s of hoops. Almost too much hoops. But that’s on you to decide.
Unfortunately a vortex of unspeakable horrors descended upon our third host Matt Opper (@downthedrive) and he was transported through space and time to the Stone Age. Without power or access to modern technology, he’s undoubtedly chilling with cavemen at the moment. We wish him the best in his new endeavors and hope that same vortex will return him to the year 2015 by next week’s podcast.
But as for this week’s segment, Scott and I went heavy on the NCAA Tournament. Here’s a rundown:
- Recap of the UConn debacle and “fairness” of the game
- Wrapping up the AAC Tournament
- Talking AAC seeding and perception
- Discussing UC’s opening round opponent Purdue
- Containing A.J. Hammons
- Cincinnati’s chances against Kentucky should they advance
- SMU’s chances in their sector of the bracket
- Thoughts on the NCAA Tournament in general (overseeds/underseeds, Big Ten bias)
- Poll #1: Which loss this season we wanted back?
- Poll #2: Is UC a football or basketball school?
As always, you can listen to it via the media player below but feel free to subscribe to our podcast on iTunes. We’re also up on Stitcher. We’d love for you to rate and comment on it.
