It’s pretty well known that the worst part about the Kentucky Wildcats basketball program is the hoard that is Big Blue Nation. Essentially, not the players, coaches (John Calipari absolutely the exception), and staff. Instead, everything surrounding the team is unbearable.

Just like the below unnamed UK male cheerleader, who refused to release Cincinnati power forward Octavius Ellis after he went tumbling into them. Players running into cheerleaders happens a lot in sports, except those rare NHL teams (Carolina) who are separated from the action by plexiglas. In basketball especially, cheerleaders are literally feet from the court and players.

So it’s common for them to come into contact with one another and typically in those situations the player gets up, returns to the game, and everyone moves on with their lives. Not when it comes to Kentucky cheerleaders and Octavius Ellis, apparently, who was grabbed by one of them and had to struggle to pull away.
