Bearcats BlogCast: The “What Do We Talk About Now?” Edition

facebooktwitterreddit

With UC’s football and basketball seasons officially in the rear view mirror, Scott, Matt, and I had limited options on topics to discuss yesterday evening.

That’s just how offseasons go. It gets a little less crazy what with Cincinnati not playing games twice a week or three times when football’s still being played. So we don’t have a whole heck of a lot to talk about.

But this past week was a little more eventful than the typical one in late March through July. Not only did Mick Cronin announce he was 100% healthy and ready to return to coaching the team in his usual capacity but Bearcats backup quarterback Jarred Evans was deemed not guilty of assaulting a UC student, thus opening up the door for him to return to the team. So we discussed those as well as several other topics.

  • Mick Cronin returning
  • Jarred Evans court decision
  • The potential Cincinnati-Murray State series
  • UC football opening with Tennessee-Martin in 2016
  • What to look for in the Spring Game on Saturday
  • The new potential bowls for the AAC
  • What should the coaches do with Jamaree Strickland’s scholarship?

As always, you can listen to it via the media player below but feel free to subscribe to our podcast on iTunes. We’re also up on Stitcher. We’d love for you to rate and comment on it.

Next week will likely be the last one where we continue this cadence. Like I said, it’s the offseason, there’s not a ton going on. So we’ll switch up the podcast to bi-weekly following next week’s segment.
