The 2015 NFL Draft is in the rear view mirror with not a single UC Bearcat selected. But eight were signed as undrafted free agents, given a fairly fair shot at making a roster spot this fall.
It’s never too early to look ahead to next year’s draft. Cincinnati should have better luck after the 2015 season. Heck, the Bearcats graduate six (6!!!) wide receivers in an offense that could break all kinds of school and conference records. Just by sheer numbers one of them should get drafted next May.
Plus Gunner Kiel will become an upperclassman. He’s the single most talented quarterback to come through Clifton since Gino Guidugli and, as mentioned, has the weapons to put up stupid numbers in 2015. His linemen could also make waves as well as seniors along with the defensive line and secondary. Overall, UC will be better positioned to offer up prospects in next year’s NFL Draft than they have been in the last two years.
