The kickoff times of the Cincinnati Bearcats’ football games against Alabama A&M and Miami (FL) have been set, per a release from UC’s athletic department.

"CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati department of athletics and the American Athletic Conference jointly announced a pair of game times for the Bearcats non-conference home games Friday.UC’s season opener on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 against Alabama A&M will start at 7 p.m. ET with the TV network to be announced at a later date. The game marks the Bearcats first game in Nippert Stadium since Dec. 2013 as the 100-year old stadium has undergone an $86-million renovation and expansion. UC played the 2014 campaign at Paul Brown Stadium. The Bearcats matchup for Thursday, Oct. 1 against Miami (Fla.) will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET and air on ESPN.Additional kickoff times and television designations for the first three weeks of the season will be made final in June, while the rest of the Bearcats schedule will fall under the customary 12-day and six-day TV window selection process."

For the first time since 2011 the Bearcats will open up against a FCS opponent and let me be the first to wish the Bulldogs luck in attempting to slow down UC’s offensive juggernaut. Cincinnati returns their top six receivers, all seniors, every significant contributor at running back, most of their offensive line, and that one guy who wears the #11 jersey who could throw for 4,000+ yards and 40+ touchdowns next season.

I don’t remember his name. I think it rhymes with Gunner Invinci-rhinocannonarm?

The game I’m really interested in is Miami (FL). Rumor has it the Bearcats broke a decibel meter against UConn in 2009. That was with 35,000 fans crammed into a Nippert Stadium with a puny press box on the Western sidelines, not with the behemoth they’re putting the finishing touches on. With 5,000 extra people and what amounts to a five-story wall along half the stadium, this game could be the loudest in school history.

Kickoff’s at 7:30 pm EST! Set your schedules accordingly!
