Nippert Stadium Construction Update – June 3, 2015

We had to wait an extra week for the latest edition of Nippert Stadium Hardhat Wednesday, but it did not disappoint.  Only three months until opening night.

Several notes:

  • The walkways and bridges to Sheakley Lawn on the East Concourse are progressing nicely.  In my opinion, they look a little small, but I suppose that they won’t have as much traffic as a traditional concourse, since there will be no lines for concessions or restrooms actually forming on them.
  • New restrooms and concessions on both the upper and lower East Concourse are making progress.
  • Let there be seats!  The stadium underwent a stunning change, as seats are now in on the 300/Scholarship Club Level of Nippert’s West Side Pavilion.
  • Cabinetry, drywall, and electrical work continues in the suites and press areas on the West Side Pavilion.
  • LED Ribbon Boards were alluded to in some of the conceptual drawings of the stadium, but this is the first time that I recall hearing actual confirmation that they will be installed – and they will be on both sides of the stadium.
  • My season tickets are finalized.  Are yours?  Call 877-CATS-TIX or click here for more info.
