Are the Cincinnati Bearcats on the cusp of their 11th commitment for the 2015 recruiting class? Perhaps. Roanoke, Virginia defensive end Carlos Basham is set to decide between Cincinnati, Pitt, Maryland, and Wake Forest tomorrow at 6 pm.

Basham visited UC on June 15th during one of the many camps Cincinnati’s coaches host for high school players during the Summer months. It’s allows them and their ultra experienced eyes to evaluate hundreds of prospects while they’re running through their specially designed drills. Basham had already received an offer from the Bearcats in early May so it speaks to his abilities that the staff did so before seeing him in person on UC’s campus.

Adding the edge rusher would be a nice little win for Cincinnati on the recruiting trail. Since joining the AAC, Tuberville and co. have been behind the eight ball when it comes to signing highly talented prospects who have scholarship offers from Power 5 programs. UC’s done well, as they boast the conference’s best recruiter Robert Prunty, so it’s no surprise he’s the point man for Basham’s services.

The defensive end has offers from Maryland, Pitt, and Wake Forest in addition to his one from Cincinnati. He also boasts offers from Navy, Old Dominion, and Liberty University. But Basham will pick between those first four tomorrow night. Fingers crossed he has his heart set on wearing red and black.
