The 2015 AAC Media Days will kick off on Tuesday August 4th in Newport, Rhode Island. The Cincinnati Bearcats are going to be well represented at the annual affair. Tommy Tuberville will of course be on site to breed good vibes about the red and black but so will four of his players; quarterback Gunner Kiel, defensive end Silverberry Mouhon, offensive lineman Parker Ehinger, and cornerback Adrian Witty.

You can probably also tab those guys as UC’s captains this year.

Most importantly, they will likely be competing in the annual Lobster Eating Contest, the only meaningful tradition that the AAC carried over from the Big East days. They thankfully left DePaul Day with the Catholic scum in the New Big East. You’re welcome, Xavier.

But back to the Lobster Eating Contest, Cincinnati took home the title during the AAC’s inaugural media days in 2013. It was simply a remarkable performance from Brendan Kay, Greg Blair, Jordan Stepp, and Austen Bujnoch. They ate an incredible 21 lobsters, more than double any other AAC school other than Temple.

The Bearcats weren’t as successful last year but we’ll be rooting for them to rebound this time around. You have to figure Tuberville brought his ringers for this very event in an attempt to right the wrongs of 2014. Don’t tell him he doesn’t have any fight left in him.
