Nippert Stadium “Then And Now” Photos

Mondays can be a drag but at least we can take solace in the fact that Cincinnati Bearcats football starts this week. Most importantly, for the first time in a year and a half, Cincinnati Bearcats football at newly freakin’ renovated Nippert freakin’ Stadium starts this week.

To help you get appropriately amped for the game that’s a mere six days away, Spencer Tuckerman (@spncrtckrmn), a former Cincy on the Prowl contributor who currently covers baseball and women’s lacrosse for UC’s official athletics website, put together the below then-and-now photos to show just how far Nippert has come.

I can’t be certain that Spencer took both of these photos himself, especially the “then” one which looks like it’s from 1912 if I know my photographic history* but who am I to question one man’s immortality abilities. It does look like he took a picture one-hundred years ago, stood in that spot until Nippert renovations were completed, then took another one. So that could very well be the case.

*I don’t.
