Ranking The Nippert Stadium Intro Videos.. Again

We do this every year, I know. It’s become a tradition at this point, unlike any other (I think), in which we review the Nippert Stadium intro video and rank it among the others dating back to 2007. You know, that visual onslaught that brings all kinds of feelings of pleasure to your eyes and heart just before the players rumble out of the tunnel. In the past they’ve been the absolute perfect way to kick off a football game, especially as the crowd roars along to the music blasting out of the speakers.

2015 was no different and the folks at Old Hat Creative came up with one that more than fit the bill.

It’s got everything you could possibly want out of a hype video; plenty of highlights, pulse pounding music, and, of course, shots of renovated Nippert Stadium. Usually I’m all set with the first two but considering this year was special, returning to Nippert after spending as season at that god awful place on the Ohio River (what’s it called? Hell? That’s it), I’m pleased they paid homage the history of UC football and everything that led up to this season.

I’d rank the 2015 intro video third, behind the Pat Summerall Special from 2010, which will be glued to the top spot for the foreseeable future, and Welcome To the Show from 2009. Overall, a pretty great video from Old Hat Creative.

Here’s my full ranking of the hype videos over the last decade.

And while you can’t essentially rank anything here, could you at least pick your favorite video? Pretty please?
