This episode on the Bearcats BlogCast, Scott (@cardscott5) who writes for Bearcats Blog (@BearcatsBlog) and I got back into the swing of things. Matt Opper was missing, swallowed up in the blackness of last week’s blackout, we assume. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
This week is a bye for our beloved Bearcats so Scott and I didn’t have much to talk about as far as the next opponent is concerned. Sure, BYU’s right around the corner but that’s what next week’s segment is for. This time around, we basically spent a good 45 minutes basking in the glow that was Cincinnati’s incredible win over the Miami Hurricanes last Thursday.
The remaining half of the podcast was our usual mess of random thoughts that came across our minds. Here’s the full rundown.
- Recapping the Miami win
- Talking up the receivers, defense, and running game
- Has Eddie Gran finally matured as an offensive coordinator?
- On storming the field of what amounts to be a slightly above average ACC team
- Quickly running through the
- To basketball, Shaq Thomas switching his jersey number from #3 to #24 and his new role as a low post threat this season
- Thoughts on Mick Cronin’s comments yesterday
- Schadenfreude from Butch Jones’ mess at Tennessee
As always, you can listen via the media player below but feel free to subscribe to our podcast on iTunes. We’re also up on Stitcher. We’d love for you to rate and comment on it. Next week all three of us will try to get on at the same time to talk BYU. I hope you listen in!
