UC Bearcats In The NFL: Regular Season Week 8

The former Bearcats were back in action yesterday as only Connor Barwin, Brent Celek, and Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia UC-Past were on bye.

Travis Kelce: The Chiefs systematically dismantled the Detroit Lions in London early Sunday morning (our time) and Travis Kelce was a main part of that, like he is with all of their games. The Kansas City tight end was targeted a team high eight times, hauling in six of those passes for 49 yards and one of two of Alex Smith’s touchdowns. Just another day at the office for Kelce.

John Hughes: Despite Arizona putting on an offensive show after the first quarter, the Browns defensive tackle had a solid game, picking up a pair of tackles.

Ricardo Mathews: The six-year NFL vet (man I’m old) notched four tackles in San Diego’s close loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Kevin Huber: A game that hung in the balance on two defenses, the Cincinnati punter was instrumental in the Bengals’ win over the Steelers on Sunday afternoon. Huber launched four punts, averaging 34 per due to field position but landed three inside Pittsburgh’s 20 yard line, forcing them into long drives.

Derek Wolfe: Denver’s hybrid defensive tackle/defensive end had his best game of the season on Sunday night, recording a team high seven tackles against the Packers, including a TFL.

Trent Cole: In the Colts’ close loss to the Panthers on Monday night, the veteran defensive end nabbed a pair of tackles and knocked down a pass.
