UC Bearcats In The NFL: Regular Season Week 9

Not a whole love of former Cincinnati Bearcats were on byes this past week. Travis Kelce and his Chiefs as well as George Winn and the Lions certainly had the week off but the rest of the handful of UC players suited up.

Kevin Huber: As the Bengals tend to do nowadays, they systematically romped their intrastate “rivals” the Cleveland Browns. As a result, punter Kevin Huber didn’t have a whole lot of opportunities to show off his leg on national TV. But he was able to average 43 yards on each of his punts and even grabbed himself a tackle.

John Hughes: Another solid game in a losing effort during the former UC defensive tackle’s homecoming. Hughes notched three tackles including a tackle for loss against the Bengals.

Kenbrell Thompkins: Now a member of the New York Jets, Thompkins caught four passes, the 2nd most on the team, for 45 yards.

Derek Wolfe: No huge plays in the backfield but he did record four tackles and had two hits on quarterback Andrew Luck.

Trent Cole: The Colts defensive end had a solid game relatively speaking, finishing 4th on the team with three tackles.

Connor Barwin: Was an integral part of Philadelphia’s win over their rival the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night, tallying four tackles and a sack of Matt Cassel.
