After winning five 5-A State Championships in the past decade, Warren Central High School in Indianapolis has developed a winning pedigree that any coach would dream of. Apparently one of those coaches is Butch Jones as he has raided Warren Central High School during the 2012 recruiting year, and landed 4 Warriors.
Addressing the dire need for some speed on the defensive side of the ball, the Bearcats have landed both Warrior defensive ends. Jonathan Burt is a 6-2, 248-pounder, and his battering mate is the 6-1, 235-pound Joshua Posley. Last season, Burt finished the season with 36 tackles and 4 sacks while Posley registered 44 tackles and 4 sacks as well.
On the other side of the ball, Coach Jones has added some much needed beef on the offensive side by signing the 6-3, 283-pound offensive guard, Deyshawn Bond. While Bond is creating the holes, UC is hoping that 5-11, 198-pound Deionta Buckley can give Senior running back Isaiah Pead a breather for a few downs this season.
By bringing in a set of recruits with a winning pedigree already instilled in the bodies, hearts, and souls – Coach Jones will look to get the Bearcats back on track by doing what this city has grown to expect from the University of Cincinnati football team… Winning Championships!
