Check out the full press conference here. Some highlights:
- Classy move speaking about Mark Dantonio and his family right now
- Dude is sick of watching his team hit each other and wants to flatten players on another team for a change
- There’s still a challenge of the Bearcats finding their identy
- Like we already heard, he will play some true freshman Saturday night
- Let’s hope we can get 95%+ attendance at Nippert!
- Austin Peay has some talent returning, for a FCS team
- Lot’s of focus gained this offseason. Let’s hope that actually translates to wins on the field
- Experience will take this team a long way this season
- The Bearcats won’t take anything for granted. That’s good to hear considering the slow start last year against Indiana St.
- The playmakers outside of D.J. Woods, Isaiah Pead, and Zach Collaros are either young and/or inexperience at this level. They need to find more playmakers.
- More consistency out of Kenbrell
- Luallen #3 will get playing time this fall, especially with the newly built wildcat formation. Keep the defense guessing!
- Travis Kelce is still injured, will miss Austin Peay but will be back for Tennessee
- Deven Drane earned his starting spot. Well yea I sure hope he did!
- The kickers (Miliano and Popham more specifically – Sorry Danny Milligan) will fight for the starting roll throughout this season
- The pass rush will be much improved this fall, which will help pass coverage out of the linebackers and secondary
- Zach needs to be a smarter quarterback and work the check downs
