Bearcats Breakfast 9.9.11

Paul Dehner’s perspective on the keys to the UT game on Saturday. Just wanted to make a few comments about the running game. While I completely agree that shutting down Tennessee’s run game will be important to forcing them to pass, it isn’t that critical when compared with most other teams. The Vols in recent year has have been horrible runnig the football. To supplement a weak running game, they just simply focus on passing the ball more and with a quarterback (all be it a young QB) like Tyler Bray, why wouldn’t you? Stopping the run is fine, but the Bearcats really need to focus on containing Tennessee’s passing game.

UC”s Role at Rocky Top

Interesting read from Scott Springer at UC’s official athletic site. While Tennessee and Cincinnati are lightyears apart with regards to history, stadium size, fan base, and money, on the football field (where it really counts) they are very similar. Even down to the offenses and defenses- Both can score a lot of points but have tons of questions why trying to stop someone. That’s why this game will be very close and a good one for every casual football fan.
