Weekend Roll Out

Always remember…

After a night to sleep on it, here’s my main thoughts and gripes from yesterday’s game:

  • The entire coaching staff needs to reevaluate its game planning and in-game management on both offense and defense.
  • There wasn’t nearly enough play calls to stretch the defense. I get Butch Jones runs a West Coast offense but when your big advantage is that speed, you have to use it.
  • This coaching staff can’t look you and me in the face and continue to claim that no one can supplant Drew Frey as the starting safety. He’s an outside linebacker playing safety right now.
  • The offensive line is progressing and I’m very excited to have Hooey and Bujnoch as starting lineman for the next two seasons.
  • Overall, this offense will put up points. That is, if the coaching lets them.
  • I’m excited to see Miliano wear red and black for the next four years
  • In this game at least, I gave the D-Line too much credit to produce a pass rush on their own. The coaches need to develop more blitzes to get to the quarterback.
